Skarlett seems to be introducing me to a great many extremely talented photographers, I was particularly taken by the work of Matt Miller. He seems to dabble in fashion, portraits and alternative, edgey works with equal aplomb.
His own website suggests he is not interested in photography other than as an exercise in itself, but don't let that fool you - this is a man with a great deal of talent.

He has a fine eye for the detail of "subtly wrong", producing sneaky macabre pieces such as "School Days", and then he swings all the way back round to the so-very-right, in-your-face colour-shocks such as "Pickle".

I have to give the man credit for the ease with which he seems to switch from alternative story-telling to stylised gloss-fashion. Even his grotesque work maintains some subtly to it, and his probably-not-worksafe "A Slight Miscalculation" is one of the few suicide sets I've seen that really impresses me.

And then just when you think you've seen it all, he lays down ornate fashion portraits like "Carosel" - Generally very impressed.
